Traveling to Japan may seem complicated and stressful, but we promise you, it’s absolutely doable! Behind its image of being an overpriced and complex destination lies a country that’s much more accessible than most people think. Aside from the flights, everyday life isn’t any more expensive than in France—and with the right tips (like how to find cheaper flights or when to go), your dream can quickly become reality.Preparing your trip to Japan has never been easier than with our E-book, and we’re here to prove it!
So that you can travel and enjoy 100%, without the stress!
We spent 2 months in Japan—2 incredible months exploring the country. But those 2 months had to be carefully prepared in advance (like any trip, of course)! We know just how time-consuming it is to organize a journey, especially to a place that feels like uncharted territory. And Japan really does feel like that.
Even if you don’t realize it right away, their culture is so different from ours—transportation, customs, accommodations, etc.—that it can be overwhelming. And with a completely different language and alphabet, it’s easy to feel lost…
To help you avoid missing anything important—or simply to answer the questions you’re bound to have—our guide will be super useful!
We personally spent a full month planning this trip (well, mostly me—Simon was working on other projects). One whole month combing through websites and blogs, scrolling endlessly on TikTok and Instagram to gather everything there was to know before leaving, plus what to expect once there—must-see sights, hidden gems, and extraordinary experiences off the beaten path.
Between all that and the trip itself, we can safely say we know our stuff!
So, to take a weight off your shoulders and save you the time you probably don’t have, we created this guide—super complete and full of tips—that will support you every step of the way!
We’ve gathered all the information you need to make the most of this dream trip:
We’re far from the usual cold, classic travel guides of 500+ pages, written in tiny fonts, overloaded with way too much information on every single place and topic, and with too few photos.
Here, we decided to compile only the essentials and nothing more, so you won’t feel overwhelmed with information.
This Japan E-book is full of recommendations and tips based on what we personally experienced, discovered, tested, loved (or didn’t), during our trip.
A guide written by travelers, for travelers, straightforward and without fluff, to help you travel Japan with peace of mind!
It saves you real time in organizing your trip, helps you avoid travel mishaps, and above all lets you fully enjoy your dream journey stress-free!
On top of that, the digital guide was designed and built for mobile use (computer, tablet, and phone). The document is optimized for screens—not for A4 printing—so you won’t constantly need to zoom in and out to read.
It’s very visual, with photos for every place. And best of all, the document is interactive to simplify navigation, with links between pages, links to Google Maps listings for each spot, booking sites, a clickable checklist, and more.
Finally, the document is downloadable and available offline, and we even included summary sheets you can print if you’d rather not rely on your phone (or laptop) once there.
This E-book is for all types of travelers: solo, friends, families, couples, or backpackers who don’t know where to start.
In short, it’s for anyone who wants to:
If this E-book interests you, here’s where to grab it:
For now, this E-book covers Tokyo, south of Tokyo, Mount Fuji, the Japanese Alps, Kyoto, Osaka, Nara, the Kii Peninsula (south of Nara), Shikoku island, and Kyushu island.
It does not cover the north or south of Honshu island (where Tokyo, Kyoto, etc. are located), nor Hokkaido island in the far north.
We’d love to go back to Japan to discover more regions and update the guide with new info, but we don’t know when—or if—that will happen.
This guide is equally suited for a first trip or for returning travelers. It doesn’t just stop at giving you key info and listing the must-sees. You’ll find plenty of places to discover, some more hidden than others, and it’s unlikely you’ll be able to do and see everything in one trip.
That makes this guide useful whether it’s your first visit to Japan or a return trip.
No problem at all. Even though we included itineraries with car rentals for added comfort, it’s absolutely not mandatory. Everything can be done using public transport (train or bus). We explain it all in the guide, with or without a car.
Yes, absolutely. The visits and activities we suggest can all be done with children. Just pay attention when booking accommodations, as many are designed for 2 people—so check the number of beds available before confirming.
Great question. We’ll try to check and update the information once a year. Make sure you keep the link sent to you in the purchase email, as that’s where you’ll find the latest file version in the drive.
You’ll have free access to every update, and for major changes, we’ll also send you an email.
Yes! The guide includes a van itinerary, complete with sleeping spots and suitable parking. Japan is a very van-friendly country, and we highly recommend this experience—we loved it!
This E-book is a downloadable PDF available immediately after purchase (via a link sent to your email). Unfortunately, because of this format, we cannot accept returns or refunds after purchase.
Absolutely. You’ll receive a link to a Drive folder with the E-book and extra files. You can either consult them online or download them to use offline.
